Adhyaya 85The Gods’ Hymn to the Goddess and the Emergence of Kaushiki; Shumbha Sends His Envoy

स्तुता सुरैः पूर्वमभीष्टसंश्रयात् तथासुरेन्द्रेण दिनेṣu सेविता ।

करोतु सा नः शुभहेतुरीश्वरी शुभानि भद्राण्यभिहन्तु चापदः ॥

Que a Deusa soberana, outrora louvada pelos deuses como refúgio que concede a realização dos seus desejos, e servida até pelo senhor dos asuras em tempos de necessidade, seja para nós a causa do auspicioso; que ela conceda bênçãos e derrube as calamidades.
