Adhyaya 84The Gods’ Hymn after the Slaying of Mahishasura and the Goddess’ Boon

त्रैलोक्यमेतदखिलं रिपुनाशनेन त्रातं त्वया समरमूर्धनि तेऽपि हत्वा ।

नीता दिवं रिपुगणा भयमप्यपास्तम् अस्माकमुन्मदसुरारिभवं नमस्ते ॥

Este tríplice mundo inteiro foi salvo por ti pela destruição dos inimigos; tendo-os abatido no próprio cume da batalha, enviaste a hoste adversária ao céu (isto é, à morte), e o nosso temor foi removido. Saudações a ti, fonte da nossa vitória sobre os inimigos asúricos enfurecidos.
