Transliteration

tasya tair abhavad yuddham ati-prabala-daṇḍinaḥ |

nyūnair api sa tair yuddhe kolā-vidhvaṃsibhir jitaḥ ||

Translation

Ele, embora manejasse punição e força de grandíssimo poder, combateu-os; contudo, naquela batalha foi derrotado por esses destruidores dos Kolas, embora fossem menos numerosos.
