Adhyaya 70 — The King Confronts the Rakshasa and Restores the Brahmin’s Wife
वयं बुभुक्षितास्तस्य मन्त्रोच्चाटनकर्मणा ।
क्व यामः सर्वयज्ञेषु स ऋत्विग् भवति द्विजः ॥
vayaṃ bubhukṣitās tasya mantroccāṭanakarmaṇā | kva yāmaḥ sarvayajñeṣu sa ṛtvig bhavati dvijaḥ ||
“Ficamos famintos por causa das expulsões que ele faz com mantras. Para onde iremos? Em todo yajña, esse brāhmaṇa serve como sacerdote oficiante (ṛtvij).”
