Adhyaya 40 — The Yogin’s Impediments (Upasargas), Subtle Concentrations, and the Eight Siddhis
आत्मानं मन्यते चोर्वोṃ तद्गन्धञ्च जहाति सः ।
यथैवाप्सु रसं सूक्ष्मं तद्वद्रूपञ्च तेजसि ॥
ātmānaṃ manyate corvoṃ tadgandhañca jahāti saḥ | yathaivāpsu rasaṃ sūkṣmaṃ tadvadrūpañca tejasi ||
Então ele considera a si mesmo como mais sutil do que a terra e abandona o seu odor. Assim como o sabor é sutil na água, do mesmo modo a forma (rūpa) é sutil no fogo.
