Adhyaya 39 — Funeral Rites
सञ्चाद्य निर्मले सत्त्वे स्थितो युञ्जीत योगवित् । इन्द्रियाणीन्द्रियार्थेभ्यः प्राणादीन् मन एव च ॥
sañchādya nirmale sattve sthito yuñjīta yogavit | indriyāṇīndriyārthebhyaḥ prāṇādīn mana eva ca ||
Tendo subjugado as tendências inferiores e permanecendo no sattva purificado, o conhecedor do yoga deve aplicar-se ao yoga: refrear os sentidos de seus objetos e também os ares vitais, começando pelo prāṇa, bem como a própria mente.
