Adhyaya 37Alarka’s Crisis and the Teaching on Non-Attachment (Madālasa’s Instruction Recalled)

तन्मात्रावस्थिते सूक्ष्मे तृतीयांशे च पश्यतः ।

तथैव भूतसद्भावं शरीरं किं सुखासुखम् ॥

tan-mātrāvasthite sūkṣme tṛtīyāṃśe ca paśyataḥ | tathaiva bhūta-sadbhāvaṃ śarīraṃ kiṃ sukhāsukham ||

Quando se permanece no estado sutil e puro do ‘isso-somente’ e se contempla a ‘terceira porção’ (um ponto de vista mais elevado além do grosseiro e do sutil), o corpo é visto como mera existência elemental—então que prazer ou dor poderia haver para o Si?
