स्वाहाकारं स्तनं देवाः पितरश्च स्वधामयम् ।
मुनयश्च वषट्कारं देवभूतसुरेतराः ॥
svāhākāraṃ stanaṃ devāḥ pitaraś ca svadhāmayam | munayaś ca vaṣaṭkāraṃ devabhūtasuretarāḥ ||
«Os deuses bebem do teto chamado Svāhā-kāra; os antepassados (pitṛ) bebem daquele que é da natureza de Svadhā. Os sábios (ṛṣi) bebem do Vaṣaṭ-kāra; e as demais classes—como os seres e os que não são deuses nem asuras—também participam conforme lhes cabe.»
