पक्षिण ऊचुः पिता प्राह ततः पुत्रं श्रद्धधत् तस्य तद्वचः ।
भवता यद्वयं पृष्टाः संसारग्रहणाश्रयम् ॥
pakṣiṇa ūcuḥ pitā prāha tataḥ putraṃ śraddadhat tasya tadvacaḥ | bhavatā yad vayaṃ pṛṣṭāḥ saṃsāragrahaṇāśrayam ||
Disseram as aves: Então o pai falou ao filho, confiando em suas palavras. (E disse:) «Já que nos perguntaste sobre o fundamento que conduz ao apego/enredamento do saṃsāra…».
