Dhaumya’s Enumeration of Eastern Tīrthas

Prācī-diś Tīrtha-kathana

गोसहस्रफलं विन्द्यात्‌ स्वर्गलोक॑ च गच्छति । वरदासंगमतीर्थमें स्नान करनेसे सहस्र गोदानका फल मिलता है। ब्रह्मस्थानमें जाकर तीन रात उपवास करनेवाला मनुष्य सहस्र गोदानका फल पाता और स्वर्गलोकमें जाता है

gosahasraphalaṁ vindyāt svargalokaṁ ca gacchati | varadāsaṅgama-tīrthe snāna-karaṇena sahasra-go-dānasya phalaṁ labhate | brahmasthāne gatvā trīṇi rātrāṇy upavāsaṁ kurvan manuṣyaḥ sahasra-go-dānasya phalaṁ prāpya svargalokaṁ gacchati ||

Pulastya disse: “Quem se banha no vau sagrado chamado Varadāsaṅgama obtém o mérito equivalente ao dom de mil vacas e alcança o mundo celeste. Do mesmo modo, quem vai a Brahmasthāna e jejua por três noites recebe o fruto de mil doações de vacas e segue para o céu.”
