Dhaumya’s Enumeration of Eastern Tīrthas
Prācī-diś Tīrtha-kathana
That sacred practices and purificatory observances should be performed exactly according to prescribed injunction (vidhi), following the example of virtuous, godlike sages; disciplined vow-keeping is presented as the ethical foundation for spiritual efficacy.
Pulastya is instructing a Kuru-descended listener, pointing to the precedent of eminent sages who have successfully completed these purifying rites, and urging the listener to undertake the same observance properly and faithfully.
