Educational Q&A

Steadfast dharma expressed as vigilant, self-controlled devotion: Savitrī does not collapse under foreknowledge of loss; she responds with attentive care and unwavering ethical resolve, embodying pativratā-dharma and disciplined courage in the face of destiny.

Humatsena describes Savitrī closely observing her husband in all circumstances. Because she remembers the sage’s prediction that his death will occur at the appointed time, she remains alert and watchful, preparing inwardly for the impending crisis.
