Dharma-pratyabhijñāna and Vara-pradāna (धर्मप्रत्यभिज्ञानम्—वरप्रदानम्)
नदी: पुण्यवहाश्वैव पुष्पितांश्व नगोत्तमान् सत्यवानाह पश्येति सावित्रीं मधुरं वच:,पवित्र जल बहानेवाली नदियों तथा फूलोंसे लदे हुए सुन्दर वृक्षोंकों लक्ष्य करके सत्यवान् सावित्रीसे मधुर वाणीमें कहते--'प्रिये! देखो, कैसा मनोहर दृश्य है”
nadyāḥ puṇyavahāś caiva puṣpitāṃś ca nagottamān | satyavān āha paśyeti sāvitrīṃ madhuraṃ vacaḥ ||
Apontando rios cujas águas traziam santidade e as melhores árvores carregadas de flores, Satyavān disse a Sāvitrī com palavras suaves: “Amada, olha—como é encantadora esta paisagem!”
हुमत्सेन उवाच
The verse highlights a dharmic sensibility: gentle speech, shared attention, and reverent appreciation of nature’s purity and beauty. It models how affection and virtue express themselves through mindful, kind communication.
Humatsena narrates that Satyavān, seeing sacred-flowing rivers and blossoming trees, points them out to Sāvitrī and invites her to look, speaking lovingly and softly as they move through the forest landscape.
