वेगेनोत्पततस्तस्य पेतुस्ते रजनीचरा: । भुवि सम्मभिन्नह्दया: प्रहारवरपीडिता:,उछलते समय उनके वेगसे छूटकर वे चारों राक्षस पृथ्वीपर जा गिरे। उन राक्षसोंकी छाती फट गयी और अधिक चोट लगनेके कारण उन्हें बड़ी पीड़ा हुई
vegenotpatatas tasya petus te rajanīcarāḥ | bhuvi sammabhinnahṛdayāḥ prahāravarapīḍitāḥ ||
Disse Mārkaṇḍeya: Ao saltar com velocidade tremenda, aqueles rākṣasas errantes da noite foram sacudidos, desprenderam-se e caíram por terra. Seus corações se despedaçaram e, esmagados pela força do impacto, sofreram dor intensa.
मार्कण्डेय उवाच
