व्यसनं भवतश्चैदं संक्षेपाद्‌ वै निवेदितम्‌ । “सम्पाति जब इस तरहकी बातें कर रहा था, उस समय हमलोगोंने बताया कि जटायु मारे गये। साथ ही हमने संक्षेपसे आपके ऊपर आये हुए इस संकटका समाचार भी निवेदन कर दिया

Transliteration

vyasanaṃ bhavataś caidaṃ saṃkṣepād vai niveditam |

Translation

Disse Mārkaṇḍeya: “Esta calamidade que vos acometeu já foi relatada—de fato, em resumo. Enquanto Sampāti falava desse modo, informamo-lo de que Jaṭāyu fora morto, e também lhe transmitimos, sucintamente, a notícia da crise que se abatera sobre vós.”
