Adhyāya 22: Śālva’s Weapon-Shower, Dāruka’s Wounding, and the Māyā-Report of Vasudeva’s Father
एवं दश दिश: सर्वास्तिर्यगूर्ध्य च भारत । नादयामासुरसुरास्ते चापि निहता मया,भारत! इस तरह वे असुर इधर-उधर ऊपर-नीचे दसों दिशाओंमें कोलाहल करते और मेरे हाथसे मारे जाते थे
evaṁ daśa diśaḥ sarvāstiryagūrdhya ca bhārata | nādayāmāsur asurās te cāpi nihatā mayā, bhārata ||
Vāyu disse: “Assim, ó Bhārata, em todas as dez direções—para os lados e também para o alto—os Asuras erguiam grande alarido; e, ainda assim, também eles foram abatidos por mim. Mesmo quando o tumulto se espalha por toda parte, encontra o seu fim diante de uma força alinhada ao dharma.”
