Mahābhārata 3.214
यथाश्रुतमिदं सर्व समासेन द्विजोत्तम । एतत् ते सर्वमाख्यातं कि भूय: श्रोतुमिच्छसि,द्विजश्रेष्ठ! मैंने यह सब जैसा सुना है, वैसा सब-का-सब थोड़ेमें आपसे कह सुनाया है। अब आप और क्या सुनना चाहते हैं?
yathāśrutam idaṁ sarvaṁ samāsena dvijottama | etat te sarvam ākhyātaṁ kiṁ bhūyaḥ śrotum icchasi ||
Ó melhor dos brâmanes, relatei-te—de modo breve e exatamente como ouvi—tudo por inteiro. Diz-me agora: que mais desejas ouvir?
व्याध उवाच
The speaker emphasizes faithful transmission and humility: he reports the teaching exactly as he heard it, in concise form, and then invites further inquiry—modeling truthful narration and a student-centered approach to instruction.
The hunter (vyādha), after completing a summary of what he has heard and learned about dharma, tells the Brahmin that he has conveyed everything briefly and accurately, and asks what else the Brahmin wishes to hear next.
