संहृष्टा: पाण्डवा राजन् सहिता: शार्ज्र्धन्वना । विप्रर्षभाश्न ते सर्वे ये तत्रासन् समागता:,वैशम्पायनजी कहते हैं--राजन्! उन परम बुद्धिमान् मार्कण्डेयजीका वचन सुनकर भगवान् श्रीकृष्णसहित पाँचों पाण्डव बड़े प्रसन्न हुए। साथ ही जो श्रेष्ठ ब्राह्मण वहाँ पधारे थे, उन सबको भी बड़ी प्रसन्नता हुई
saṁhṛṣṭāḥ pāṇḍavā rājan sahitāḥ śārṅgadhanvanā | viprarṣabhāś ca te sarve ye tatrāsan samāgatāḥ ||
Vaiśampāyana disse: “Ó rei, os cinco Pāṇḍavas, juntamente com o portador do arco Śārṅga, Śrī Kṛṣṇa, rejubilaram-se. E todos os brâmanes mais eminentes ali reunidos alegraram-se do mesmo modo, grandemente.”
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights the ethical power of wise counsel: when a realized sage speaks in alignment with dharma, it uplifts not only rulers and heroes but also the wider community of the righteous, creating shared clarity and joy.
After Mārkaṇḍeya’s discourse, the Pāṇḍavas—accompanied by Kṛṣṇa—feel heartened and pleased; the assembled eminent brāhmaṇas also rejoice, indicating broad approval of the sage’s message.
