The passage highlights steadfastness in adversity and the disciplined, responsible use of power: even when wounded and obstructed, Arjuna responds with focused resolve and employs a consecrated weapon as a measured counter to overwhelming force, reflecting the kṣatriya ideal of meeting aggression without surrendering composure.
Arjuna describes how the demon-warriors called Nivātakavacas, competing fiercely in battle, tried to halt his advance by an intense barrage of arrows. Though hurt, he counters by releasing swift, extraordinary arrows empowered by the Brahmāstra, rapidly slaying large numbers of the demons.
