Adhyāya 160: Dikpāla-Cosmography and the Sun’s Kālacakra (दिक्पाल-विश्ववर्णनम् तथा आदित्यस्य कालचक्रम्)
इहस्थैरेव तत् सर्व श्रोतव्यं भरतर्षभा: । न कार्या व: कथंचित् स्यात् तत्राभिगमने मति:,भरतकुलभूषण पाण्डवो! तुम्हें यहीं रहकर वह सब कुछ देखना या सुनना चाहिये। वहाँ पर्वतके ऊपर जानेका विचार तुम्हें किसी प्रकार भी नहीं करना चाहिये
ihasthair eva tat sarvaṃ śrotavyaṃ bharatarṣabhāḥ | na kāryā vaḥ kathaṃcit syāt tatrābhigamane matiḥ |
Disse o vidente: “Ó o melhor dos Bharatas, permanecei aqui e aprendei tudo — vendo e ouvindo deste mesmo lugar. Em circunstância alguma deixeis que a mente se incline a subir até lá.” O conselho exalta a contenção e a obediência à orientação sábia: a curiosidade ou o impulso não devem sobrepor-se à prudência quando a aproximação é perigosa ou proibida.
