Kubera’s Fivefold Nīti and Protection of the Pāṇḍavas (वैश्रवणोपदेशः)
तान् प्रस्थितानभ्यगच्छद् वृषपर्वा महीपति: । उपन्यस्य महातेजा विप्रेभ्य: पाण्डवांस्तदा,उस समय उनके प्रस्थान करनेपर महातेजस्वी राजर्षि वृषपर्वाने पाण्डवोंको (उस देशके जानकार अन्य) ब्राह्मणोंके सुपुर्द कर दिया और कुछ दूर पीछे-पीछे जाकर उन कुन्तीकुमारोंको आशीर्वाद देकर प्रसन्न किया। तत्पश्चात् उन्हें रास्ता बताकर वृषपर्वा लौट आये
tān prasthitān abhyagacchad vṛṣaparvā mahīpatiḥ | upanyasya mahātejā viprebhyaḥ pāṇḍavāṁs tadā |
Vaiśampāyana disse: Quando os Pāṇḍavas já haviam partido, o rei Vṛṣaparvā aproximou-se deles. Esse soberano poderoso e radiante então confiou os Pāṇḍavas a brâmanes eruditos que conheciam a região. Caminhou algum trecho atrás, concedeu-lhes bênçãos e alegrou os filhos de Kuntī; e, depois de indicar o caminho, Vṛṣaparvā retornou.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
A righteous ruler safeguards travelers and guests by ensuring competent guidance and safe passage, showing care through blessings and responsible delegation to trustworthy, knowledgeable persons.
As the Pāṇḍavas depart, King Vṛṣaparvā comes to them, places them under the care of local brāhmaṇas familiar with the land, follows briefly to bless them, points out the route, and then returns.
