Kubera’s Fivefold Nīti and Protection of the Pāṇḍavas (वैश्रवणोपदेशः)

The verse highlights dharma in social conduct: a righteous king supports those under his care by offering protection, blessings, and practical guidance, then withdraws without imposing himself—showing benevolence, restraint, and responsibility.
As the Pāṇḍavas depart, King Vṛṣaparvā accompanies them briefly, blesses and congratulates them, shows them the route to take, and then returns, while the narration is delivered by Vaiśaṃpāyana.
