Kubera’s Fivefold Nīti and Protection of the Pāṇḍavas (वैश्रवणोपदेशः)
अन्वशासत् स धर्मज्ञ: पुत्रवद् भरतर्षभान् | तेडनुज्ञाता महात्मान: प्रययुर्दिशमुत्तराम्,वृषपर्वा भूत और भविष्यके ज्ञाता, कार्यकुशल और सम्पूर्ण धर्मोके मर्मज्ञ थे। उन धर्मज्ञ नरेशने भरतश्रेष्ठ पाण्डवोंको पुत्रकी भाँति उपदेश दिया। उनकी आज्ञा पाकर महामना पाण्डव उत्तरदिशाकी ओर चले
anvaśāsat sa dharmajñaḥ putravad bharatarṣabhān | te 'nujñātā mahātmānaḥ prayayur diśam uttarām ||
Vaiśampāyana disse: O rei conhecedor do dharma instruiu os heróis da linhagem de Bharata —os Pāṇḍavas, fortes como touros— como um pai instrui seus filhos. Tendo recebido sua permissão, aqueles homens de grande alma partiram rumo ao norte.
