Bhīmasena–Hanūmān Saṃvāda: The Tail Test and the Divine Path
स्रस्तांशुकमिवाक्षो भ्यैर्निम्नगा नि:सृतैर्जलै: । सशष्पकवलै: स्वस्थैरदूरपरिवर्तिभि:,निम्नगामिनी नदियोंसे निकला हुआ क्षोभरहित जल नीचेकी ओर इस प्रकार बह रहा था, मानो उस पर्वतका वस्त्र खिसककर गिरा जाता हो। भयसे अपरिचित और स्वस्थ हरिण मुँहमें हरे घासका कौर लिये पास ही खड़े होकर भीमसेनकी ओर कौतूहलभरी दृष्टिसे देख रहे थे। उस समय मनोहर नेत्रोंवाले शोभाशाली वायुपुत्र भीम अपने महान् वेगसे अनेक लतासमूहोंको विचलित करते हुए हर्षपूर्ण हृदयसे खेल-सा करते जा रहे थे। वे अपनी प्रिया द्रौपदीका प्रिय मनोरथ पूर्ण करनेको सर्वथा उद्यत थे
srastāṃśukam ivākṣobhyair nimnagā niḥsṛtair jalaiḥ | saśaṣpakavalaiḥ svasthair adūraparivartibhiḥ ||
Vaiśaṃpāyana disse: Do rio que saía da montanha, as águas, sem perturbação, corriam para baixo, como se a veste do monte tivesse escorregado e caído. Perto dali, cervos saudáveis—alheios ao medo—ficavam bem próximos, com bocados de relva fresca na boca, fitando Bhīmasena com olhos curiosos. Então o esplêndido filho de Vāyu, Bhīma de olhos encantadores, seguia adiante de coração alegre, como se brincasse; sua grande velocidade fazia balançar muitos agrupamentos de trepadeiras. Ele estava inteiramente decidido a cumprir o desejo querido de sua amada Draupadī.
