Vaiśampāyana said: Deer unacquainted with fear watched him with curious eyes. With tremendous speed he set many tangled creepers swaying as he moved on—Bhīma, the son of Vāyu, radiant and keen-eyed, advancing as if in play, his heart uplifted, fully resolved to accomplish the cherished wish of his beloved Draupadī.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights steadfast resolve and energetic effort directed toward a worthy commitment—here, Bhīma’s determination to fulfill Draupadī’s cherished desire—showing how strength is ethically framed as service and purposeful action rather than mere display.
As Vaiśampāyana narrates, Bhīma moves through the forest with immense speed, shaking clusters of vines. Nearby deer, naturally unafraid, stand watching him with curiosity. Bhīma proceeds almost playfully, intent on accomplishing Draupadī’s desired aim.
