नमस्कृत्योपजग्मुस्ते लोकवृद्धं पितामहम् । परिवार्य च विश्वेशं पर्यासत दिवौकस:
namaskṛtyopajagmus te lokavṛddhaṃ pitāmaham | parivārya ca viśveśaṃ paryāsata divaukasaḥ ||
Vaiśampāyana disse: Tendo oferecido suas reverentes saudações, aqueles seres celestes aproximaram-se do Avô primordial, antigo em sabedoria para os mundos. Então, cercando por todos os lados o Senhor do universo, os deuses sentaram-se ao seu redor, buscando conselho num momento que exige humildade diante da ordem superior e da orientação.
