Educational Q&A

The verse highlights how anger rapidly erodes decorum and self-control: even in an assembly, wrath turns speech into threat and posture into violence. Ethically, it warns that unchecked krodha (anger) becomes a catalyst for adharma and war.

Sañjaya describes a tense moment in the court/assembly: people rise from their seats, wave their arms as if ready to strike, and glare at each other like enraged venomous snakes—signaling that the dispute is close to turning physical.
