धृतराष्ट्रस्य वंशोपदेशः
Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s Dynastic Counsel on Legitimate Rule
नीचै: स्थित्वा तु विदुर उपास्ते सम विनीतवत् । प्रेष्पवत् पुरुषव्याप्रो वालव्यजनमुत्क्षिपन्
nīcaiḥ sthitvā tu vidura upāste sama-vinītavat | preṣpavat puruṣa-vyāghro vāla-vyajanam utkṣipan ||
Então Vidura, de pé humildemente mais abaixo como um servidor bem treinado, serviu Dhṛtarāṣṭra com cortesia equilibrada e ânimo sereno. Como um tigre entre os homens, ergueu e agitou o leque de cauda de iaque (cāmara), escolhendo disciplina e autocontrole em vez do orgulho — uma demonstração de dharma: cumprir o dever sem ego, mesmo num palácio tenso.
