Saṃsāra-Gahana Allegory: The Brāhmaṇa in the Forest and Well (संसारगहन-आख्यान)
कूपमध्ये महानागमपश्यत महाबलम् | कूपवीनाहवेलायामपश्यत महागजम्
kūpamadhye mahānāgam apaśyata mahābalam | kūpavīnāhavelāyām apaśyata mahāgajam ||
Disse Vidura: “No meio do poço ele viu uma serpente enorme e poderosa; e, à boca do poço, na própria hora do perigo, viu um grande elefante.” A imagem evoca uma crise em que o risco está tanto dentro quanto no limiar, conclamando ao discernimento e à ação oportuna segundo o dharma, e não à confusão ou ao pânico.
