युधिष्ठिरस्य राज्याभिषेकः | Yudhiṣṭhira’s Royal Consecration

काज्चनोदुम्बरास्तत्र राजता: पृथिवीमया: । पूर्णकुम्भा: सुमनसो लाजा बहींषि गोरसम्‌

vaiśampāyana uvāca |

kāñcanoḍumbarās tatra rājatāḥ pṛthivīmayāḥ |

pūrṇakumbhāḥ sumanasaḥ lājā barhīṃṣi gorasam ||

Vaiśampāyana disse: “Ali reuniram os auspiciosos requisitos do rito—vasos e instrumentos de ouro, de prata e até de barro; potes (kumbha) cheios até a borda; flores perfumadas; grãos tostados (lājā); feixes da relva sagrada darbha; e leite de vaca. Esses itens, ajuntados como materiais de consagração, assinalam um empreendimento solene regido pelo dharma, no qual se enfatizam pureza, abundância e o procedimento correto acima de mera ostentação.”
