संद्रक्ष्यन्ति नरा श्चान्ये स्वरूपेण विनाकृतम् । 'प्रभो! यह सुकुमारी आपकी भार्या होगी, इसमें संशय नहीं है, परंतु विवाहके बादसे ही कन्या तथा अन्य सब लोग आपका रूप (मुख) वानरके समान देखने लगेंगे। बंदर जैसा- मुँह आपके स्वरूपको छिपा देगा”
saṃdrakṣyanti narāś cānye svarūpeṇa vinākṛtam |
“Outras pessoas também te verão como alguém cuja verdadeira forma está encoberta—tua aparência natural não será vista como ela é.” (No contexto narrativo: embora a donzela esteja certamente destinada a ser tua esposa, após o casamento a percepção dela e a dos demais mudará, e teu rosto lhes parecerá semelhante ao de um macaco, como se um disfarce cobrisse tua forma real.)
