सांख्ययोगभेदः तथा योगबलोपदेशः
Sāṃkhya–Yoga Distinction and Instruction on Yogic Strength
विज्ञातरूप: स तदा तपःसिद्धो 5थ धन्विना । ज्ञात्वा शूलं च देवेश: पाणिना समनामयत्,तपःसिद्ध शुक्राचार्यको उस रूपमें पहचानकर देवेश्वर शिवने उन्हें शूलपर स्थित जानकर अपने अनुषयुक्त हाथसे उस शूलको झुका दिया
vijñātarūpaḥ sa tadā tapaḥsiddho ’tha dhanvinā | jñātvā śūlaṃ ca deveśaḥ pāṇinā samamānamayat ||
Bhīṣma disse: Então o Senhor dos deuses, Śiva, reconhecendo-o naquela mesma forma como alguém aperfeiçoado pela austeridade, e percebendo-o postado sobre o tridente, inclinou suavemente o tridente com a própria mão. O episódio mostra como o poder divino responde ao verdadeiro tapas: reconhece a realização espiritual e contém a força com ação medida e deliberada, não com dano desnecessário.
