जनकस्य युद्धोपदेशः — Janaka’s Instruction on Steadfast Battle-Conduct
त्यागमूलं हि शूराणां स्वर्गद्वारमनुत्तमम् । इत्युक्तास्ते नृपतिना योधा: परपुरंजय,'शूरवीरोंको जो सर्वोत्तम स्वर्गलोकका द्वार प्राप्त होता है, उसमें उनका त्याग ही मूल कारण है'। शत्रुनगरीपर विजय पानेवाले युधिष्ठिर
Disse Bhīṣma: “Para os heróis, a porta incomparável do céu tem sua raiz na renúncia — no auto-sacrifício.” Assim exortados pelo rei, aqueles guerreiros, conquistadores de cidades inimigas, tomaram a admoestação no coração, aumentaram a alegria do seu soberano no campo de batalha e venceram os seus adversários. Por isso, o homem resoluto deve permanecer sempre firme à própria boca da guerra, sem vacilar no dever.
