पट्टै्जाम्बूनदैर्बद्धा बभूव जनहर्षणी । प्रजज्वाल तदा5<5विद्धा भीमेन महती गदा
paṭṭair jāmbūnadair baddhā babhūva janaharṣaṇī | prajajvāla tadā viddhā bhīmena mahatī gadā ||
Disse Sañjaya: “Cingida por lâminas de ouro Jāmbūnada, a grande maça tornou-se deleite dos guerreiros. Quando Bhīma a fez girar e a impeliu ao golpe, ela ardeu como fogo—acendendo júbilo e ardor marcial no coração dos heróis.”
संजय उवाच
The verse highlights how visible symbols of strength and readiness in a righteous cause can elevate collective courage: Bhīma’s formidable, brilliantly adorned weapon becomes a source of morale for allied heroes, emphasizing the ethical dimension of sustaining resolve amid dharmic conflict.
Sañjaya describes Bhīma’s massive mace, ornamented with plates of fine gold, appearing to blaze like fire as he whirls it in battle. The sight energizes and delights the warriors, increasing their enthusiasm on the battlefield.
