Transliteration

sañjaya uvāca |

nṛtyamānā vyadṛśyanta rajo-madhye vilāsikāḥ |

indrāyudha-savarṇābhāḥ patākā bharatarṣabha ||

Translation

Disse Sañjaya: Em meio à poeira, as bandeiras podiam ser vistas como se fossem graciosas dançarinas sobre um palco, movidas pelo vento. Ó touro entre os Bharatas, aqueles estandartes, radiantes com matizes como o arco-íris de Indra, pareciam dançar sobre o campo de batalha — beleza e espetáculo erguendo-se mesmo em meio à violência da guerra.
