Adhyāya 104 — Śikhaṇḍin-puraskāraḥ (Śikhaṇḍin as Vanguard) and Bhīṣma’s Counter-Advance
उभयो: सदृशं कर्म स पितुर्मातुलस्य च । रणे बहुविध॑ चक्रे सर्वशस्त्रभूतां वर:
ubhayor sadṛśaṁ karma sa pitur mātulasya ca | raṇe bahuvidhaṁ cakre sarvaśastrabhūtāṁ varaḥ ||
Disse Sañjaya: Abhimanyu, o mais eminente entre todos os que empunham armas, realizou no meio da batalha muitos tipos de feitos de valor, comparáveis aos de seu pai e aos de seu tio materno. Este verso ressalta a excelência herdada de Abhimanyu e sua firme determinação de igualar os padrões estabelecidos pelos mais velhos no combate conforme o dharma.
