नतासां रक्षणं शक््यं कर्तु पुंसां कथंचन
natāsāṃ rakṣaṇaṃ śakyaṃ kartuṃ puṃsāṃ kathaṃcana
Bhishma disse: «De modo algum é possível aos homens oferecer proteção àqueles que se renderam e se colocaram sob o cuidado de outrem. Esta afirmação ressalta uma dura verdade ética: o mero esforço e a intenção humanos muitas vezes são insuficientes para garantir a segurança quando alguém se torna totalmente dependente; por isso, deve-se agir com humildade, vigilância e senso de responsabilidade, e não com confiança presunçosa.»
