Anuśāsana-parva 17
यज्ञानामपि यो यज्ञ: शिवानामपि य:ः शिव: । रुद्राणामपि यो रुद्र: प्रभा प्रभवतामपि
yajñānām api yo yajñaḥ śivānām api yaḥ śivaḥ | rudrāṇām api yo rudraḥ prabhā prabhavatām api ||
Vāyu disse: “Aquele que é o próprio sacrifício entre os sacrifícios; o auspicioso entre tudo o que é auspicioso; Rudra entre os Rudras; e o esplendor mesmo dos esplêndidos—ouve de mim os mil e oito nomes desse Senhor Śiva, de fulgor incomensurável, o Si-mesmo de todos os seres, de quem os mundos nascem e em quem por fim se dissolvem. Ó melhor dos homens, apenas por ouvir isto alcançarás a realização de todos os teus desejos.”
