Yayāti’s Abdication and Pūru’s Coronation (ययाति-पूोरु-राज्याभिषेकः)

प्रसाद्यतां देवयानी जीवितं यत्र मे स्थितम्‌ । योगक्षेमकरस्ते5हमिन्द्रस्पेव बृहस्पति:,तुम देवयानीको प्रसन्न करो, क्योंकि उसीमें मेरे प्राण बसते हैं। उसके प्रसन्न हो जानेपर इन्द्रके पुरोहित बृहस्पतिकी भाँति मैं तुम्हारे योगक्षेमका वहन करता रहूँगा

prasādyatāṃ devayānī jīvitaṃ yatra me sthitam | yogakṣemakaras te 'ham indrasyeva bṛhaspatiḥ ||

Śukra disse: “Que Devayānī seja apaziguada, pois nela está depositada a minha própria vida. Se ela se agradar, assegurarei o vosso bem-estar e proteção—assim como Bṛhaspati, sacerdote de Indra, sustenta a prosperidade e a segurança de Indra.”
