The verse highlights how inner states like indignation and agitation manifest outwardly and can become morally forceful: a mere glance can function as censure. In the Mahabharataas ethical world, such visible anger signals a breach of trust and warns the king that his conduct is being judged.
Dushyanta describes a womanas reaction: her eyes redden with offended anger, her lips tremble, and she looks at the king with a scorching sidelong glance, conveying intense reproach and confrontation.
