Genealogical Recitation from Dakṣa to Yayāti and the Establishment of the Paurava Line

Educational Q&A

The verse highlights that wise guidance combines (1) knowledge of reality in terms of substance, action, and qualities, (2) clear understanding of cause and effect, and (3) culturally sanctioned attention to omens—rooted in authoritative tradition (Vyāsa’s texts).

Vaiśampāyana describes a group being supported by various specialists—philosophically trained thinkers, practical reasoners, and omen-interpreters—whose expertise is said to be grounded in Vyāsa’s treatises.
