स्थापनाक्षेपसिद्धान्तपरमर्थज्ञतां गतै: । शब्दच्छन्दोनिरुक्तज्ै: कालज्ञानविशारदै:

Transliteration

sthāpanākṣepasiddhāntaparamārthajñatāṁ gataiḥ | śabdacchandoniruktajñaiḥ kālajñānaviśāradaiḥ ||

Translation

Vaiśampāyana disse: Haviam alcançado maestria nos métodos de estabelecer e refutar argumentos, firmes em conclusões assentadas e na verdade suprema; eram peritos em linguagem, métrica e etimologia, e altamente versados no conhecimento do tempo. Assim se delineava o retrato de autoridades eruditas cuja disciplina intelectual sustenta o juízo correto e o conselho seguro.
