गूढपाण्डवदर्शनम् — The Hidden Pāṇḍavas and Kṛṣṇa’s Visit
यज्ञसेनस्य दुहिता द्रुपदस्य महात्मन: । वेदीमध्यात् समुत्पन्ना पद्मपत्रनिभेक्षणा,यज्ञसेन नामवाले महाराज ट्रुपदके एक पुत्री है, जो यज्ञकी वेदीसे प्रकट हुई है। उसके नेत्र विकसित कमलदलके समान सुन्दर हैं
yajñasenasya duhitā drupadasya mahātmanaḥ | vedīmadhyāt samutpannā padmapatranibhekṣaṇā ||
Yudhiṣṭhira disse: “O rei Drupada, de grande alma, tem uma filha chamada (Draupadī), nascida do meio do altar sacrificial. Seus olhos são belos como pétalas de lótus plenamente abertas.”
युधिछिर उवाच
The verse highlights the sanctity and social-ethical weight of ritual origins and noble character: a person’s emergence from yajña (sacrifice) signifies a life tied to dharma, public duty, and the larger moral order, not merely private desire.
Yudhiṣṭhira identifies Drupada’s daughter—described as born from the sacrificial altar and lotus-eyed—introducing her extraordinary origin and qualities as part of the account leading toward the Pāṇḍavas’ connection with Drupada’s house.
