व्यपोहनस्तवनिरूपण-प्रसङ्गे नक्तभोजन-शिवव्रतविधिः (वार्षिक-प्रतिमास-क्रमः)

अग्निकार्यमधःशय्यां नक्तभोजी समाचरेत् प्रतिमासं प्रवक्ष्यामि शिवव्रतमनुत्तमम्

agnikāryamadhaḥśayyāṃ naktabhojī samācaret pratimāsaṃ pravakṣyāmi śivavratamanuttamam

Ele deve cumprir o dever sagrado do fogo, dormir em leito baixo e comer apenas à noite. Agora exporei, mês a mês, o voto insuperável de Śiva—por ele o paśu (alma atada) é purificado do pāśa (vínculo) e se torna apto à graça do Pati (o Senhor).
