उपचारस्तु क्रियते लोकानां हितकाम्यया इन्द्रियाणीन्द्रियार्थाश् च महाभूतानि पञ्च च
Transliteration
upacārastu kriyate lokānāṃ hitakāmyayā indriyāṇīndriyārthāś ca mahābhūtāni pañca ca
Translation
O upacāra (serviço ritual) é realizado com a intenção do bem-estar dos seres; ele abrange as faculdades dos sentidos e seus objetos, e também os cinco grandes elementos. Assim, todo o campo da experiência encarnada é oferecido e harmonizado na bhakti a Pati, o Senhor Śiva.
