Paraśurāma, Kārtavīryārjuna, and the Kāmadhenu Offense

प्रसादित: सत्यवत्या मैवं भूरिति भार्गव: । अथ तर्हि भवेत् पौत्रो जमदग्निस्ततोऽभवत् ॥ ११ ॥
prasāditaḥ satyavatyā maivaṁ bhūr iti bhārgavaḥ atha tarhi bhavet pautro jamadagnis tato ’bhavat
Satyavatī, porém, apaziguou Bhārgava Ṛcīka com palavras serenas e pediu que seu filho não fosse um kṣatriya feroz. Ṛcīka respondeu: “Então teu neto terá espírito de kṣatriya.” Assim, Jamadagni nasceu como filho de Satyavatī.
The great sage Ṛcīka was very angry, but somehow or other Satyavatī pacified him, and at her request he changed his mind. It is indicated here that the son of Jamadagni would be born as Paraśurāma.
