Chapter 35: पवित्राधिवासनादिविधिः
Method of Consecrating the Pavitra and Related Rites

It gives a practical pūjā sequence: decorate with gandha-puṣpa offerings, perform worship using the deity’s mūlamantra, and position the pavitra (kuśa ring) to the side as part of maintaining ritual purity, in the context of prepared (plastered) maṇḍalas.
Beyond mythology, it preserves procedural liturgy: manuscript-aware readings, the role of mūlamantra, the pavitra implement, and spatial ritual design (maṇḍapa/maṇḍala-traya). This exemplifies the Agni Purāṇa’s compendium style covering temple practice and technical ritual details.
Mantra-centered worship with proper upacāras and purity devices (pavitra) is presented as ensuring śuddhi (ritual correctness/purification), thereby making the offering spiritually efficacious and merit-producing (puṇya) by aligning action, space, and mantra.
