पुत्र त्वत्स्पर्शनाशायाः किमेतच्चिन्तितं त्वया ॥ रात्रौ सुप्तोऽसि वत्स त्वं शय्यासु परिवर्तितः ॥
putra tvat-sparśanāśāyāḥ kim etac cintitaṃ tvayā || rātrau supto 'si vatsa tvaṃ śayyāsu parivartitaḥ ||
ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਤੇਰੇ ਸਪਰਸ਼ ਦੀ ਆਸ ਨਾਲ ਮੈਂ ਜੀਉਂਦੀ ਹਾਂ—ਤੂੰ ਇਹ ਕੀ ਸੋਚ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ? ਰਾਤ ਨੂੰ, ਪਿਆਰੇ ਬੱਚੇ, ਤੂੰ ਸੌਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ ਅਤੇ ਪਲੰਗਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਬਦਲਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈਂ।
