Sarvasara

ब्रह्मादिपिपीलिकापर्यन्तं सर्वप्राणिबुद्धिष्ववशिष्टतयोपलभ्यमानः सर्वप्राणिबुद्धिस्थो यदा तदा कूटस्थ इत्युच्यते॥१०॥

ब्रह्म-आदि-पिपीलिका-पर्यन्तम् । सर्व-प्राणि-बुद्धिषु । अवशिष्टतया । उपलभ्यमानः । सर्व-प्राणि-बुद्धि-स्थः । यदा । तदा । कूटस्थः । इति । उच्यते ॥१०॥

brahmādi-pipīlikā-paryantaṃ sarva-prāṇi-buddhiṣv avaśiṣṭatayopalabhyamānaḥ sarva-prāṇi-buddhi-stho yadā tadā kūṭastha ity ucyate ||10||

ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾ ਤੋਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਪਿਪੀਲਿਕਾ (ਚੀਂਟੀ) ਤੱਕ, ਸਭ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਬੁੱਧੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਜੋ ਅਵਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਰੂਪ—ਅਪਰਿਵਰਤਿਤ ਸ਼ੇਸ਼—ਵਜੋਂ ਅਨੁਭਵ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਸਭ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦੀ ਬੁੱਧੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਥਿਤ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਤਦ ਅਤੇ ਉਸੇ ਅਰਥ ਵਿੱਚ ‘ਕੂਟਸਥ’ (ਅਚਲ, ਅਡੋਲ ਆਤਮਾ) ਕਿਹਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ॥੧੦॥

That which, from Brahmā down to the ant, is apprehended as the residual (unchanging) remainder in the intellects of all beings—being present in the intellect of every living creature—then and in that respect is called “kūṭastha” (the immutable, abiding Self).
