tasminnavasare śaṃbhuḥ sarvadevagaṇaiḥ saha | tuṣṭāva prayato bhūtvā viṣṇuṃ jiṣṇuṃ suradviṣām
ਉਸੇ ਵੇਲੇ ਸ਼ੰਭੂ, ਸਭ ਦੇਵ-ਗਣਾਂ ਸਮੇਤ, ਯਤਨਸ਼ੀਲ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਭਕਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਵਿਸ਼ਣੂ ਦੀ ਸਤੁਤੀ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗਾ—ਜੋ ਅਜਿਤ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਦੇਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਵੈਰੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਜੇਤੂ ਹੈ।
